Fostering Workforce Engagement: Our Experience with the Wellbeing Cabin

Updated: Feb 25

At Design Rationale, we’re committed to creating environments where innovation and collaboration thrive - not just in our projects, but within the broader industry. That’s why we were proud to participate in a recent Wellbeing Cabin initiative hosted by Fit for Work at a Wates Group project site in Westminster.

The Wellbeing Cabin served as an interactive space where management and tradespeople could come together to connect, take a breather, and discuss important topics like mental health. With activities like a basketball competition and insightful happiness surveys, the event fostered openness and dialogue, strengthening the bond among the on-site workforce.

We’re inspired by how the Wellbeing Cabin brought a diverse group of people together, providing a platform for meaningful conversations and support. The insights gathered from the happiness surveys will undoubtedly help drive positive change across the industry, and we’re excited to see the impact of this forward-thinking approach.

We’d like to extend our thanks to Fit for Work for organizing such a valuable initiative, as well as to Wates Group for hosting it. A special shoutout to the fantastic efforts of Catherine Everett and Josh Heap, along with the collaboration of other subcontractors who made the day such a success.

At Design Rationale, we recognize the importance of wellbeing initiatives in fostering a healthier, more engaged workforce. Participating in this event has reinforced our commitment to supporting these efforts in the future.
